Frequently asked questions
What does 300 DPI actually mean here?
Dots per inch at print time: A4 is 8.27 × 11.69 inches, so 300 DPI needs 2480 × 3508 pixels. Supply that and the printer never has to invent pixels.
My photo is only 1200px wide — should I still upscale?
Generally no. Print it at a smaller physical size or accept some softness; upscaling redistributes the same information across more pixels. The tool warns rather than silently enlarging.
