View a CSV file online

CSV files are everywhere, but opening one as a reliable table should not require a spreadsheet subscription. This viewer turns a local CSV or TSV into a readable grid with row and column labels.

Search visible values, inspect wide exports, and review the data before sending it anywhere. Parsing is local, the source file is untouched, and large exports are safely capped in the preview.

Processed locallyIn: PDF, DOCX/ODT, XLSX/XLS/ODS, CSV/TSV, PPTX, EPUB, TXT/MD/HTML/JSON/XMLOut: Read-only preview

This is Free Document Viewer preconfigured for this task — open the full tool for every option.

How it works

  1. Choose a supported document from your device. Its bytes are read directly by this browser tab.

  2. The viewer selects the matching local parser: PDF renderer, spreadsheet grid, Office package reader, ebook reader, or safe text decoder.

  3. Move between PDF pages, slides, document sections, or workbook sheets; search extracted text and spreadsheet values locally.

  4. Clear the file when finished. The read-only preview is discarded from the tab and nothing has been uploaded.

What the tool does

  • Real PDF page rendering with page navigation and zoom
  • Read-only XLSX, XLS, XLSM, ODS, CSV, and TSV grids with sheet tabs
  • DOCX, ODT, PPTX, and EPUB text reconstruction without running embedded content
  • Safe plain-text viewing for TXT, Markdown, HTML, JSON, and XML
  • Search across extracted document text or loaded spreadsheet cells
  • Hidden and very-hidden spreadsheet sheets labelled for intentional review
  • Macros, scripts, remote resources, forms, and embedded executables never run

How the result is verified

A preview is shown only after the relevant local parser accepts the file structure. PDF pages must render through PDF.js, spreadsheets must expose readable sheets, Office and ebook packages must contain their required document parts, and text is decoded as inert content. Reconstructed layout limitations remain explicitly labelled.

Frequently asked questions

Can I search inside a CSV?

Yes. Use the search field to highlight matching values in the visible grid and count the matches found in the preview.

Does viewing a CSV upload my data?

No. The CSV is parsed in your browser. No file upload is required and the original file is not modified.
