Frequently asked questions
Is 600 × 600 enough resolution?
Yes, that's precisely 2 inches at 300 dpi, which is what photo printing services and government upload tools work with. Bigger squares also work; smaller ones get rejected.
JPG or PNG for the upload?
The State Department portal expects JPG. Export as JPG at high quality and you're covered.
